Welcome to food with mood! Your go-to place for everything food and drink-related, whether it’s a restaurant review, opinion piece, a spot of travel writing or recommending a home-cooked meal. As the name suggests, this is a place to celebrate the joy of food and what it means to us and how it makes us feel. Food can ignite certain emotions; it can be nostalgic and bring back fond memories; or it can bring people together and be enjoyed with friends and family.
food with mood began two years ago as a humble tumblr page, where I would share my recommendations of places to eat and drink in Leeds. I was living there as a student during a time when the city centre was going through a transformation – restaurants were opening, bars were popping-up and food festivals and street food markets were just starting. Leeds became a very different place to what it was when I first arrived and it is now one of the biggest food destinations in the UK, outside of London. Motivated by my desire to shout about all the amazing foodie opportunities, I started food with mood as a blog.
As a native Londoner, I now divide my time between London and Leeds whilst documenting my foodie adventures via @foodwmood on Instagram. Now with my brand new website you can expect to see lots more, so stay tuned and happy reading!
